Kurt has been working with the city since August 2000. Prior to coming to Pullman, he was a recreation coordinator with the city of Lewiston and the Northwest Children's Home in Lewiston, Idaho. Kurt has a B.A. in recreation and leisure studies from Washington State University.
Alan has been with the city of Pullman since 1976. Prior work experience includes the Pullman office of the Soil Conservation Service and Auburn Springs (Ohio) Country Club. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in biology from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky in 1974 and did additional studies in architecture at the University of Cambridge in England and University of Dundee in Scotland.
Steve Bell has been with the City of Pullman since October 2008. He previously worked five years at Hillyard Senior Center in Spokane and 15 years with the City of Cheney Parks & Recreation Department. Steve has his BA in Recreation Administration from Eastern Washington University.
Merlene Greenway has been working for the city since October 1998. Merlene has many diverse responsibilities within the department, from registering patrons for programs, processing purchase orders, to the design of the Parks & Recreation Brochure, updating the Government Access Channel 13, and the department's web pages. Merlene attended Lakeshore Technical College, Cleveland, WI. Prior to coming to the city Merlene worked at the University of Idaho, Dept of Food Science and Toxicology, Latah County Library District, Moscow Branch, Elk River School/Community Library, and the Elk River Recreation District.
Jean Overstreet, (Ms Jean) our Preschool and Youth Programmer serves as the Head Preschool Teacher. She has a B.S. in Child Development and Family Relations from the University of Idaho. She was hired by the City of Pullman in 1994 and for the past 17 years has been responsible for our program's content and growth.
Megan Vining has been working with the city since July 2000. Prior to working for Pullman Parks & Recreation, she was the After School and Summer Day Camp Director for the YMCA at Washington State University. Megan has a B.A. in Recreation Administration and Leisure Studies from Washington State University. Go Cougs!
