Reserve Police Officer
The Pullman Police Department offers the opportunity to those interested in serving as a law enforcement officer, while still working in their current line of employment or attending classes full time. The Pullman Police Department Reserve Police Officer program was established for the purpose of providing volunteer police personnel to supplement the regular police force, benefiting both the City and the reserve personnel. For more information, see the Reserve Officer web page here.
WSU Police Intern Program
While the Pullman Police Department does not operate an intern program, the Washington State University (WSU) Police Department does. WSU PD Interns work with both the WSU and Pullman Police Departments.
The WSU Police Intern Program is a cooperative effort between WSU's Criminal Justice Program and local law enforcement agencies. Volunteer interns can receive academic credit in the academic program. Students interested in law enforcement-related careers gain valuable experience and knowledge by working with commissioned police officers while they perform their law enforcement duties. Students can participate in specialized training and contribute to the Pullman community. For more information, see the WSU PD Intern web page by clicking here.
